Vacuum packing is a food preservation technique that, through the rarefaction of air, slows down the development of most microorganisms that need oxygen to proliferate.
The vacuum packaging machine allows to considerably extend food shelf life. The isolation of the product from the external environment keeps it fresh, protecting it from contamination that alters its appearance and modifies its organoleptic properties.
The choice of the commercial vacuum packer depends on the nature and the volume of the products to be sealed. For low-moisture content products, such as cured meats, hard cheese or sandwiches, external vacuum packaging machines are the most suitable while chamber vacuum pack machines are suitable for any kind of food, regardless of the percentage of water contained. Our vacuum machines for food packaging are available in different dimensions according to the size of the product to be sealed.
Usually chamber vacuum packaging machines reach higher suction levels than the external ones.
In order to facilitate air extraction, it will be necessary to insert the product inside embossed bags that will facilitate air extraction. The end of the bag will be placed at the opening of the machine and air suction will be started by exerting a slight pressure on bar. Once the air has been extracted, the sealing bar will seal the bag, creating an airtight casing around the product.
In the case of chamber vacuum packers, the product is inserted into a smooth or embossed plastic bag and closed inside the chamber with the end of the bag resting on the sealing bar. By closing the watertight lid of the vacuum packaging machine, the air is sucked from both chamber and bag. The latter will be then sealed to create an airtight package.
Vacuum packaging machines for hermetically sealed food are used in all catering activities, from bars and restaurants/pizzerias to the food industry.
